China and Russia are planning to increase trade to $100 billion by 2015
Almaty. September 24. Silkroadnews - China and Russia are planning to increase trade turnover to $100 billion by 2015, informed the agency "Xinhua" referring to the chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko.
"Relations between Russia and China are now at the highest historical level, and Russia is going to take everything needed for national parliaments cooperation to reach the similar level", - quoted Matviyenko in the publication.
At the last meeting of the VIII Commission on cooperation between the Council of the Federation and the National People's Congress signed a new charter of the structure. Matviyenko said that the Russian side aims to continue to deepen cooperation between the parliaments of Russia and China.
In addition, she stressed that the established heads of state purpose involves increase of the total Russian-Chinese trade by 2015 to $100 billion, and by 2020 to $200 billion. Meanwhile, in the current year, the total volume of trade between Russia and China reached $90 billion.
At the same time, Matviyenko noted that the parties will be able to fulfill the above object only in case of diversification of bilateral trade industries. She identified as a breakthrough agreements between Russia and China on energy, in particular the agreement on natural gas, coal and nuclear energy.
As recalled by the agency, the Russian delegation headed by Valentina Matviyenko visited China from september 21 to 23 at the invitation of the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhang Dejiang.
