China and Tajikistan signed an agreement on currency swap
Almaty. September 7. Silkroadnews - China and Tajikistan signed an agreement on currency swap yuan/TJS to support mutual trade and investment, reported the agency Xinhua.
According to the PBOC, the agreement gives the central banks of both countries the opportunity to exchange a series of payments in one currency for payments equivalent in another currency in order to facilitate the mutual settlement of trade transactions as well as providing support for liquidity in financial markets.
Sino-Tajik agreement was signed in the amount of 3 billion yuan (about $470 million), for a period of three years, renewable by agreement of both parties, according to a statement on the website of the Chinese Central Bank.
The customs authorities show that at the end of 2014, China took second place among the major investors in Tajikistan, and the third - largest trade partner of this Central Asian country.
