China and Uzbekistan sign memorandum on cooperation in astronomy

Tashkent. March 26. Silkroadnews – Representatives of National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (NAOC) and representatives of the Uulugh Beg Astronomic Institute of Uzbek Academy of Sciences (UBAI) signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of astronomy in Beijing.
The NAOC director, Yan Jun, is quoted by Xinhua as saying at the official signing ceremony “the parties are to launch cooperation in research, professional exchange and training”
“Cooperation in the field of astronomy is based on utilisation of the excellent (astro)climatic conditions of Uzbekistan an rapid technological innovation of China. Both of those will enable us to get an important scientific findings” , the UBAI Director, Shuhrat Ehgamberdiev said.
