Almaty. April 14. Silkroadnews – China applied to host 2023 Football Asian Cup, the Chinese mass-media reported.
“At the meeting of the sports committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held in Kuala Lumpur the expressions of interest to host the 2023 Football Asian Cup were received from China, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea and Thailand”, the statement says.
As a next step, the AFC will send out to these countries the Bidding Agreement and the Host Candidate Questionnaire and seek the government guarantees and legal opinion on the bids.
2019 Asian Cup will be held in the UAE. Earlier China hosted 2004 Asian Cup.
