China becomes the world’s top trading power
Beijing. March 7. Silkroadnews - High-quality, high-tech and high-yield products are taking a growing share of the country’s total exports, China Daily quoted Commerce Minister Zhong Shan saying.
“China’s foreign trade from last year has grown 14.2 percent year-on-year, with the highest growth rate in the past six years. China has become the world's top trading power,” the minister said.
According to Zhong, last year high-tech products accounted for more than 30% of all exports, showing that the country is aimed at exporting high-quality products.
“New elements, such as cross border e-commerce, are powering the country’s foreign trade, as China boasts the world’s biggest cross border e-commerce sector, covering most of the countries and regions in the world,” he added.
