China can supply Iran with a large consignment of fighters in exchange for oil
Almaty. August 6. Silkroadnews - Tehran and Beijing are discussing terms of the deal to supply Iran a large batch of Chinese fighter "Jian-10" (J-10),reported the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Thursday.
"Discussed agreement does not provide cash settlement. According to the terms, for the delivery of 24 warplanes by 2020, Iran must give to China a 20 years right to operate at the giant oil field "Azadegan", - says the publication.
The cost of this military contract in terms of money is about $1 billion. The agreement "oil-for-fighter" is beneficial to both the seller and the buyer, although it certainly will displease the United States.
Multipurpose fighter "Jian-10" is created on the basis of Soviet technology, its first flight was made in 2002. Its flight range - 2,940 km.
"In the case Iran gets these combat vehicles, theoretically Iranian Air Force will be able to control the entire area of the Gulf, go for strike at Israel and return to base", - stated in the material.
