China commissioned the satellite for natural resources research

Almaty. July 15. Silkroadnews - satellites for the study of natural resources of the Earth, developed jointly by China and Brazil, officially put into operation on Tuesday, reported Xinhua news agency.
"Artificial Satellite - CBERS-04 - was launched on December 7, 2014. So far, all the tests for compliance with the requirements of the satellite on its use and control have shown positive results",- said in a statement referring to the management of defense science, technology and industry of China.
The satellite was built by the Chinese Research Institute of Space Technology and the Institute of Space Technology of Brazil. It is able to cover the entire Chinese territory within 26 days and provide multispectral images.
Satellite data will be used to assess the agricultural production, monitoring of reservoirs and hydraulic structures, the study of geological disasters in other areas. The satellite will also be free to serve for subscribers in Africa and Latin America.
