Almaty. December 4. Silkroadnews - China considers Siang’s river pollution as its internal affair, The Times of India reports.
“Reacting to The Times of India’s report of the waters of the Siang river turning black, a report in China’s state-run “Global Times” stated Arunachal Pradesh was a part of China and, therefore, there was no question of China polluting its own river,” the report said.
It is noted that the Indian authorities believe the water has darkened because of the slag transported along the river from across the border.
According to the publication, China considers the state of Arunachal Pradesh, through which the river Siang flows, as its territories and calls it South Tibet.
The Yarlung Tsangpo river, which originates in the south of Tibet, becomes the river of Xiang in the Upper Siang area of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.
