China develops world’s fastest server for big data sets

Beijing. March 16. Silkroadnews - China is developing the world’s fastest server to work with big data queries, the newspaper China Plus reports.
According to TPC Benchmark Express-BigBench big data testing service, Chinese company Sugon has developed the world’s fastest and the most economical server, working with big data.
The server, called the I620-G30, can perform 3,383.95 searches on big data sets per minute at a cost of $307.86 per search.
A new server can perform searches twice as fast and twice as cheap as what was possible in the last century, said Qin Xiaoning, vice president of Sugon.
Sugon is a leader in high-performance computing, servers, cloud storage and work with data arrays in China.
