Almaty. November 10. Silkroadnews - China donated $32-million music and theater equipment to Cameroun, the newspaper “People’s Daily” reported.
“Cultural cooperation between Cameroon and China continues to grow from strength. This follows the donation of equipment for cultural purposes by the Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon,Wei Wenhua, to the Cameroon Minister of Art and Culture, Prof. Narcisse Mouelle Kombi,” the report said.
It is noted that the minister said the gift worth 32 million FCFA as another “evidence of the fact that culture is the best link to friendship and cooperation between peoples in general, and between Cameroonians and Chinese in particular.” The equipment in case includes computers, musical instruments and materials for theatre performances.
Wei Wenhua said a gift from the Ministry of Culture of China is a logical continuation of the visit by the PRC’s deputy minister of culture Ding Wei to Cameroon in January 2017. In his turn Narcisse Mouelle Kombi noted the gift demonstrates the development of socio-cultural cooperation between the two countries. He added, the equipment transferred will allow the ministry to improve the quality of performances by artists.
