China entered the list of five largest exporters of arms

Almaty. March 16. Silkroadnews - China became the fifth largest arms exporter, reported Russian media.
"Russia ranked second on arms exports in 2010-2014, the leader in sales of arms is United States. The third place in terms of sold arms took (in 2010-2014) took China, and now its weapon market share is 5%",- says the publication with reference to the annual report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) Yearbook 2015 .
The share of Russia in the arms market was 27%, while exports incremented in four years by 37%. Russian weapons was acquired by 56 countries, 60% of transactions fell to India, China and Algeria.
US arms exports increased by 23%. The share of the United States in the global arms trade was 31%, buyers were 94 countries, for the Middle East accounted 32% of the sold weapons. The main clients of US were South Korea, the United Arab Emirates and Australia.
The fourth and fifth places took Germany (5%) and France (5%).
The leading position in the list still takes India (15% share of world imports), followed by Saudi Arabia (5%), China (5%), the United Arab Emirates (4%) and Pakistan (4%).
In general, over the last ten years have seen increased arms shipments to Africa, the Americas, Asia, Oceania and the Middle East, decreased supplies to Europe.
