China expressed confidence in successful development of Zimbabwe with new president

Almaty. November 28. Silkroadnews - China expressed confidence in the successful development of Zimbabwe with new president, “People’s Daily” reported.
“China voiced confidence in Zimbabwe’s national development as the country’s new president pledged to protect international investment in the country,” the report said.
It is explained that in his inauguration speech Emmerson Mnangagwa promised that foreign investments will be safe and secure in the country and Zimbabwe will play its role in regional and international organizations.
“China supports Zimbabwe to follow a development pattern that suits its own conditions and believes Zimbabwe will achieve greater development under the leadership of President Mnangagwa,” China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said.
At the same time, he noted that China hopes for development of relations and cooperation with Zimbabwe on the principle of equality and mutual benefit.
Geng said China will do everything possible to support Zimbabwe in accelerating economic and social development and improving people’s living standards.
