China firmly opposed to North Korean nuclear test

Almaty. September 9. Silkroadnews – Chinese Foreign Ministry has expressed firm opposition to the nuclear test by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), «Xinhua» agency says.

«Today the DPRK, in defiance to opposition from the international community, conducted another nuclear test, to which the Chinese government is firmly opposed», said the statement by the Foreign Ministry.

The achieving of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, prevention of nuclear proliferation and protection of peace and stability in Northeast Asia is a firm position of the Chinese side. China strongly urges the DPRK to honor the commitment to denuclearization, abide by the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and halt any actions that could aggravate the situation.

«China will firmly advance the denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula and adhere to a peaceful resolution through the Six-Party Talks», the statement says.
