Beijing. April 9. Silkroadnews - China’s Ministry of Commerce has banned exports to North Korea of 32 materials, technologies and types of equipment that could potentially be used to build weapons of mass destruction and conventional weapons, CNBC reported.
The list of items under the ban reflects the resolution of the U.N. Security Council, adopted unanimously in September on the missile and nuclear programs of North Korea.
The ban included, among other things, particle accelerators and centrifuges.
In addition, it contains bans on items with potential dual use in conventional armaments.
The announcement of the ban on exports comes amid the restrictions on exports from China to North Korea. China’s exports to North Korea slowed in February.
North Korea is reportedly ready to discuss the issue of the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula when its leader Kim Jong Un meets with U.S. President Donald Trump.
