China has experienced in the space industry kerosene made from coal
Almaty. April 17. Silkroadnews - China first in the world uses in the space industry kerosene made from coal, reported Xinhua news agency.
"The test area of the 6th Institute of the China Space Technology (CASC) has recently successfully completed hot running in a rocket engine using kerosene obtained by direct liquefaction of coal", - said the publication with reference to the coal-mining corporation "Shenhua".
As noted, the new kerosene was developed in cooperation with the corporation CASC.
Corporation "Shenhua" a few years ago created in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region the world's first demonstration production line for direct liquefaction of coal, which is able to produce 1 million tons of fuel per year, which is considered as a potential replacement for space fuel.
Cooperation of corporations "Shenhua" and CASC began in 2013 after the conclusion of a framework agreement. Joint development of space kerosene soon yielded positive results. Before the official break-hot of the rocket engine were made the necessary preconditioning and testing.
