China has increased grain production to 621 million tons in 2015

Almaty. January 28. Silkroadnews - Compared to 2014 in 2015 China has increased grain production by 2.4% up to 621 million tons, the agency TASS reports.
As Chen Xiwen, director of the Central Rural Work Leading Group, said, despite the growth of the grain production volume of China, the country still intends to increase grain imports from abroad.
“To ensure the food security of the country, we intend to use the resources of both internal and external markets,”, he added.
According to him, within the framework of this initiative, the Chinese Government intends to increase the degree of coordination of the development for the country’s agriculture and foreign trade.
“Also, it is equally important to increase the production and import of environmentally friendly agricultural products,”- Chen Xiwen highlighted.
