China has offered to build a high-speed railway to Vladivostok via Hunchun

Almaty. May 21. Silkroadnews - China Jilin Province is proposing to build high-speed railway (HSR) to Vladivostok via Hunchun, informs the newspaper "Kommersant".
"We have an idea to build a high-speed railway to Vladivostok. By August, we will launch a plot to Hunchun. If together we will be able to renew it, it will be the first cross-border high-speed backbone between Russia and China",- said the first secretary of the CPC Committee of Jilin Province of China Bayin Chaolu at a meeting with the governor of Primorye Vladimir Miklushevsky.
In turn, the governor said that he intends to discuss the proposal with the head of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin.
Previously, China has agreed to invest in the project of high-speed railway (HSR) Moscow-Kazan. Russian-Chinese memorandum on the construction of the Moscow-Kazan high-speed railway will cost 1.07 trillion rubles and was signed on May 8th. Russia had to agree to Beijing's key demand - to build HSR based on Chinese equipment.
