China increased electricity consumption in April

Almaty. May 12. Silkroadnews – Electricity consumption in China grew significantly in April, Xinhua news agency reported.
Electricity consumption grew 6% to 484.7 billion kW/h year-on-year, China’s national energy administration informed.
In April electricity consumption in agriculture declined by 1.1% year-on-year, growth achieved 5% in industrial consumption and 12.7% in services sector.
Over the first four months of 2017 electricity consumption increased by 6.7% year-on-year and amounted to 1.93 trillion kW/h.
At the same time, electricity consumption in the services sector grew by 8.9%, and in the industrial and agricultural spheres – by 6.9% and 6.7% respectively.
