China increases anti-dumping duties on imports of methyl methacrylate

Beijing. March 1. Silkroadnews - China’s Ministry of Commerce reported on the strengthening of anti-dumping measures on import of methyl methacrylate (MMA) from Singapore, Thailand and Japan, Xinhua reports.
Starting from February 28 the ministry’s decision requires importers to apply anti-dumping duties at rates ranging from 10.7% to 34.8%, compared to the previous rates of 6.7% to 34.6%.
The ministry introduced anti-dumping duties on MMA from three countries in December 2015 for a period of five years.
In February 2017, the Ministry reviewed Chinese companies’ complaints claiming on dumping increase.
MMA is an organic compound that can be used to produce glass, plastic, paint and adhesive.
