China intends to attract private capital for 287 PPP projects worth $148 billion

Almaty. October 21. Silkroadnews - China plans to attract private capital for 287 PPP projects worth $148 billion, reported Xinhua news agency.
"7 provinces in China on Tuesday announced the opening for private investors 287 projects of public-private partnerships. Projects with a total value estimated at 940 billion yuan ($148 billion), covering areas such as municipal works, motorways, railways, airports, water conservation and energy", - says the publication.
As noted, the Chinese government is ready to simplify the administrative authorization of PPP projects and will provide tax and financial support for their implementation.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Development and Reform Commission Zhang Yong said that the PPP facilitates reform of structural optimization in the field of investment and financing, stimulates private investment and improves the quality of public goods and services.
The government hopes through this form of partnership to overcome the huge financial deficit in infrastructure construction and to restrain economic slowdown.
