China is ready to cooperate with the SCO states on free trade zone creation
Almaty. November 3. Silkroadnews – China is ready to cooperate with the states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in creation of a free trade zone, KyrTAG reports.
“We are ready to cooperate and discuss the possibility of establishing a free trade zone. I think, the discussion itself is important to remove all barriers to trade, as the emerging barriers prevent both development of the countries and global economic recovery”, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang said at the enlarged meeting of the SCO council of heads of governments in Bishkek on Thursday.
He also proposed the cooperation in the field of small and medium-sized businesses.
“In its turn the cooperation in sector of small and medium-sized businesses facilitates the cooperation on large enterprises and gives a new impetus to cooperation between the SCO member states”, Li Keqiang added.
To remind, Bishkek hosted the 15th anniversary meeting of the heads of governments of the SCO member states resulted in signing a number of documents, including a joint communiqué.
The SCO member states are Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and China.
