China, Japan and South Korea have agreed to cooperate in the field of the environment
Almaty. May 4. Silkroadnews - Shanghai hosted the 17th meeting of environment ministers of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK), reported the newspaper "People's Daily".
"Ministers have reviewed and signed the "Joint Action Plan on cooperation in the field of the environment on 2015-2019 years",- says the publication.
As noted, the meeting was attended by Minister of Environmental Protection of China Jining Chen, Minister of the Environment of Japan Yoshio Mochizuki and the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Korea - Yong Sen Kyu.
At the meeting, Chen briefed colleagues the new achievements of China in the field of environmental protection. His colleagues from Japan and South Korea also spoke about the new political course of their countries in this field.
In addition, heads of departments exchanged views on global and regional issues related to the improvement of air quality, climate change, biodiversity conservation, etc.
Ministers also heard a report on the implementation of the "Joint Action Plan on cooperation in the field of environmental protection for 2010-2014", and signed a joint communiqué of the 17th meeting of environment ministers of China, Japan and ROK.
