Almaty. March 27. Silkroadnews - China made its first commercial flight using biofuel, said the agency "Xinhua".
"China's first commercial flight using biofuel implemented Hainan Airlines. Flight from Shanghai to Beijing executed a Boeing 737",- says the publication.
It is noted that the supplier of biofuels is a China Petrochemical Corporation Sinopec, which established the fuel extracting it from the kitchen waste and leftovers.
It is learned that during the flight the two aircraft engine were running at 50% mix of biofuel and traditional fuel.
"All three parts: Hainan Airlines, Sinopec Corporation and Boeing regarded today's event as a "milestone" in the history of the Chinese civil aviation, which is essential, particularly in terms of environmental protection", - said in a statement.
