China plans to do a movie on the life of composer Xi Xing Hai together with Kazakhstan

Almaty. June 2. Silkroadnews – Muhamediuly Arystanbek, minister of culture and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and President of China Film Group Corporation Jiao Hongfeng discussed two countries’ cooperation in the field of cinematography, the press service of the Kazakhstani ministry reported.

As noted, Kazakhstan and China intend to establish close contacts to co-production.

The Kazakhstani minister urged Chinese film studios and distributors to cooperate actively in the Kazakhstani film market.

J. Hongfeng, in his turn, thanked the minister for the hospitality and commitment to long-term cooperation.

“The key topic of conversation between A. Muhamediuly and J. Hongfeng was the upcoming co-production shooting of the “Composer” project on the life of the great composer Xi Xing Hai, the founder of the Chinese symphonic music. During his living in Kazakhstan Xi Xing Hai has discovered for China the colorful Kazakh national musical art,” information released on Wednesday says.

The meeting participants agreed to make every effort to boost signing of intergovernmental agreement on joint film production. This document will give an additional impetus to strengthening bilateral relations in film production and distribution.
