China plans to introduce a tax on traffic jams

Almaty. December 4. Silkroadnews - In 2016, Beijing authorities will consider introduction on a trial basis a tax on traffic jams, Xinhua writes.
Thus, according to the Urban Transport Committee in respect of minibuses, motor vehicles will be introduced even more stringent measures to control movement, said the head of the Beijing Transport Committee stressing that the government would examine the introduction of an experiment tax on traffic jams.
According to him, will be taken new measures to transfer the start and end of daily work in the morning and evening peak hours to reduce congestion and partial unloading of the road network. It is expected, that the introduction of new measures will comprehensively solve the problem of parking.
These restrictive measures will be implemented in stages over several years, the official said.
