China plans to invest more than $31 billion in the border area with Laos

Almaty. October 20. Silkroadnews - China announced on investing 200 billion yuan (31.4 billion dollars) in the pilot economic zone on the border with Laos, reported Chinese media.
"Investments will cover more than 240 projects in transport, education and energy in Manly Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Pilot Economic Zone area of ​​4.5 thousand sq. km has been approved by the State Council of China in July", - says the publication.
As noted, the area includes the park of economic development in Mohan at the border between the two countries.
The zone will focus on agriculture, bio-industry, processing, logistics and cultural tourism, noted the head of administration of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture Luo Hongjiang.
