Silkroadnews - China is ready to further strengthen measures to protect and manage intellectual property, recognizing its importance for innovation development, said the agency Xinhua, citing the head of state management of intellectual property (Content Management Team) Shen Chanyuy.
"Intellectual property - is the main guarantee of innovation, as well as bridge and node through which performs the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into actual productive forces", - said Sh.Chanyuy at the World Intellectual Property Day.
According to the head of department, intellectual property guarantees, to those involved in innovation, ownership, disposal and use of the results of its activities, as well as the right to receive benefits from their transfer. Thus, the effective protection of these rights, in turn, encourages people to engage in innovative activity, therefore, intellectual property, in his opinion, "is also a mechanism to stimulate innovation".
According to the Content Management Team, the rapid increase in the number of intellectual property in China was recorded in the past 2014. The fourth consecutive year the country took first place in the world in the number of applications for patenting of inventions - during a year they received 928 thousand quotes which is 12.5% ​​above the previous year.
485 thousand applications, or 60.5% of the total came from enterprises, which means that further strengthening of their position is the main creators of intellectual property.
