Beijing. January 15. Silkroadnews - China has pledged to support the Iranian nuclear agreement, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reported referring to the Tehran Times newspaper.
“China pledged to continue playing a constructive role in maintaining and implementing the Iran nuclear deal, after U.S. President Donald Trump set an ultimatum to fix “disastrous flaws” in a deal,” the report said.
It is noted, in a phone conversation China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi told the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif that the deal had not been disrupted, but would face some “new complicating factors.”
The continuation of the implementation of the nuclear agreement was entrusted to all the parties concerned and reflects the common wish of the international community, said Wang Yi.
“The deal would help uphold the international non-proliferation regime, maintain regional peace and stability and solve “other hot issues” around the world,” the agency wrote he said.
China’s foreign minister also urged Iran to remain calm and continue to fulfill its obligations under the deal.
