China presented the first prototype of a new airplane

Almaty. November 2. Silkroadnews - Chinese COMAC Aircraft Corporation introduced the first prototype of the narrow-body aircraft C919, designed to carry 168-190 passengers at a distance of 4075 km, reported BBC Russian Service.
"The presentation was held in Shanghai, where locates the assembly line of production center of the company. It is planned that the C919 will make its first flight in 2016 and then for three years, will be carried out tests of various components and mechanisms of the new model. Only after that the ship will be put into commercial operation",- says the publication.
The corporation COMAC say they have already received 517 orders for the new plane from the Chinese and foreign companies.
The family of single-aisle aircraft C919, designed for 168-190 seats as counting COMAC, will compete with such aircrafts as Airbus-320 and Boeing-737.
If successful, the C919 will be the first Chinese medium-range aircraft, which will be able to enter the global air transport market.
