China published a book on Xi Jinping’s views on journalism

Beijing. June 19. Silkroadnews - A book on Xi Jinping’s journalistic thought has been published by the People's Publishing House and Xuexi Publishing House and is available in Xinhua Bookstore outlets nationwide, China Daily reports.
The book, compiled by the publicity department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, offers a detailed and comprehensive explanation of Xi’s views on journalism and is very instructive for journalists.
Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC in 2012, the Secretary General of the CPC Central Committee expressed insightful new points of view, judgments and requirements to strengthen and improve the party’s publicity work. He has come up with answers to fundamental, strategic and general questions concerning the long-term development of the Party’s publicity work.
Xi's journalistic thought is considered an important part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and will enrich and develop the theory of Marxist journalism, the report reads.
A workshop on Xi’s journalistic thought was conducted by the newspaper “People’s Daily” in Beijing. The seminar was attended by scholars from institutes and universities, such as Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University and Peking University. They said, Xi’s thought deeply describes the nature and orientation, responsibilities and missions, as well as the guiding principles of the Party’s publicity work.
