China raised crude imports by 13.6% in 2016

Almaty. January 13. Silkroadnews – Based on the results of 2016 China raised crude imports by 13.6% on a year-on-year basis to 381 million tonnes (2.85 billion barrels), TASS writes.

Last year China reduced the import of petroleum products by 6,5% down to 27.84 million tonnes.

With this the total volume of China’s foreign trade decreased by 0.9% and amounted to 24.33 trillion yuan ($3.52 trillion).

For 12 months of the last year Chinese exports fell by 2% to 13.84 trillion yuan ($2 trillion), while imports grew by 0.6% to 10.49 trillion yuan ($1.52 trillion).

Last year the volume of exports declined by 1.8% and amounted to $2.15 trillion, while imports fell by 13.2% to $1.59 trillion.
