To date, according to the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China, 48 Chinese objects included in the register of World Heritage Sites, which provides the country second place in the global rankings after Italy.
China acceded to the Convention in December 1985. Over 30 years in the global roster were included 34 Chinese cultural heritage, 10 - Natural Heritage and 4 objects of cultural and natural heritage.
