China registered a bird flu virus epidemic
Almaty. January 4. Silkroadnews - The epidemic of the bird flu virus (H7N9) has been registered in the PRC, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports with reference to Rospotrebnadzor.
“The Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being informs that according to data of the Hong Kong Center for Health Protection and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, as of December 9, 2017, a total of 1,565 cases of people with the bird flu virus A (H7N9) recorded, including more than 150 (about 10%) cases of human infection – recorded in China,” the report said on Thursday.
Reportedly, human diseases caused by the influenza virus were recorded mainly in the southern provinces of the People’s Republic of China. Infection with avian influenza virus is most often associated with a visit to the live bird market, transmission of the virus between people is extremely rare due to its genetic characteristics.
The Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being informs on requirement to observe preventive measures when visiting countries with avian influenza registered, including the PRC.
