China registered the record production and sales volumes of cars in 2015

Almaty. January 13. Silkroadnews – The record production and sales of cars got registered in China in 2015, according to Chinese media.
“In 2015 China produced 24,503.3 thousand and sold 24,597.6 thousand of cars. These two numbers become the record and proved to be 3.3% and 4.7% higher than in 2014”, the publication notes with reference to the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM).
According to the association data, in 2015, both production and sales of passenger cars have for the first time exceeded 20 million units, reaching 21,79.4 thousand and 21,146.3 thousand of units respectively, with 5.8% and 7,3% increase versus the previous year. The share of passenger cars accounted for about 86% of the total production and sales of automobiles in the country.
In particular, the volume of production and sales of sport utility vehicles (SUV) showed the most stable growth having reached in 2015 49.7% and 52.4% respectively.
