China, Russia and Mongolia will form a tourist union
Almaty. March 17. Silkroadnews - China, Russia and Mongolia will create a tourist “Tea Road”, Sergei Kalashnikov, first deputy chairman of the economic policy committee, said in his interview to “Izvestia” newspaper.
According to him, on Thursday within the framework of the first international touristic forum “The Great Tea Road” in Moscow the representatives of Russia, China and Mongolia will sign an agreement on establishment of the tourist union, whose aim will be to promote a new line of travel routes between the two countries.
“(...) the domestic tourism development requires huge investments, first of all it refers to building the infrastructure essential: construction of hotels, restaurants, roads, etc. Russia, China and Mongolia are interested in the development of this trend, however, none of the countries could build such a system independently,” - said S. Kalashnikov.
The deputy believes the union can include the representatives of both the regional authorities and the tourism business.
As the newspaper notes, the Asian direction is in demand with the Russian tourists. In 2015, along with Italy, Spain, Japan, Greece, China, Turkey, Indonesia, Egypt and Croatia, Russia joined the top 10 countries list the most tourists are interested in regard to the “Silk Road” route. At the same time in terms of the Silk Road development the travel agencies pay more attention to the growing tourism markets of Russia, China and India.
