Almaty. September 29. Silkroadnews – China’s best technology companies to open branches in the new economic zone Xiongan New Area.
“A total of 48 companies, including Alibaba, Tencent and Baidu, will set up branches in Xiongan New Area. The 48 are the first group approved by the committee in the area. Nine of them have been granted business licenses,” the report said.
Among others the list of companies includes - Jingdong Finance, 360 Qihoo, Shenzhen Kuang-Chi, State Corporation for Development and Investment, China Telecom and People’s Insurance Company (Group) of China Ltd. (PICC).
Reportedly, among approved 48 companies there are 14 leading Chinese companies operating in the field of information technology, 15 - in finance, 7 - in research institutes, and 5 focused on “green technologies.” 19 of them are state-owned enterprises and 21 are private companies.
The agency wrote, high-tech companies will become the main direction of development of the new economic zone.
China announced plans in April to create a new economic zone Xiongan New Area, located 100 km south-west of Beijing and covering the areas of Xiongxian, Rongcheng and Anxin in Hebei Province.
