China’s manufacturing sector continues to expand in July

Almaty. July 31. Silkroadnews – The country’s Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) in the manufacturing sector has been staying above 50 for 12 consecutive months, the Chinese newspaper People’s Daily reported with reference to the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
The country’s manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI) came in at 51.4 in July, down from 51.7 in June, the publication said.
It is also reported that for non-manufacturing sector of China the growth rate of business activity has slowed.
In July, the non-manufacturing sector of China continued to grow in business activity, but with a slight slowdown in growth against the June figure. The index of business activity (PMI) in the non-manufacturing sector of China made 54.5, which is a 0.4 percentage points decrease compared to the previous month, the publication said.
It is explained that the PMI index reflects the level of business activity of enterprises. The indicator above 50 indicates the expansion of the sector, below 50 shows the sector’s decline.
