China’s military expenditure in 2015 increased by 7.4% to $215 billion

Almaty. April 5. Silkroadnews -  In 2015 the world military expenditures rose to $1.7 trillion, the data has been published by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, “Kommersant” newspaper reports.

“World military expenditures amounted to nearly $1.7 trillion in 2015, having increased by 1% in real terms since 2014. The US remains the leader in the costs, despite 2.4% fall in spending to $596 billion. China’s costs increased by 7.4% to $215 billion, Saudi Arabia – by 5.7% to $87.2 and Russia by 7.5% to $66.4 billion,” the publication says.
