China’s parliament adopted a plan for social and economic development for 2017
Almaty. March 15. Silkroadnews – The final, fifth session of the 12th National People’s Congress (NPC) ended on Wednesday, the Chinese media writes.
The delegates adopted the plan for the state’s national social and economic development for 2017, draft budgets of central and local authorities for the current fiscal year. Legislators also approved reports on the work of the PRC State Council (government) and the NPC Standing Committee, the Supreme People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate.
The parliamentarians approved a resolution on the quota for the deputies of the next 13th National People’s Congress and the procedure for their election, as well as the procedure to elect parliamentarians to the new composition of the country’s supreme legislative body from the special administrative regions of China Hong Kong and Macao.
In addition, prior to completion of the work, the session participants adopted the law “Basic provisions of civil law”, laying down the key principles of the future civil code of the PRC, the rights and freedoms of citizens. Full civil code of the PRC should be ready by 2020.
