China’s public institutions are planning to switch to the new energy vehicles by 2020

Almaty. February 22. Silkroadnews - By 2020 China’s public institutions are going to start operating widely the new energy vehicles, “Xinhua” reports.
According to the energy saving department for public institutions under the state apparatus department of China, in 2015 the Chinese government launched a pilot project on a short-term rental of electric vehicles for the state agencies. The program involved operation of more than 230 cars and raising of 461 charger stations.
    “For the recent years, China has been actively popularizing new energy sources vehicles. The data by the automotive industry association of China show that in 2015 China has produced about 340 new energy vehicles, which is 4.3 times higher to compare with the previous year, with sale of 330 thousand of such vehicles (which is a 4.4 times growth),” - the statement said.
According to the experts’ forecasts on results of 2016 the new energy vehicles sales shall reach 700 thousand units.     
The public institutions in China include the government agencies, education institutions, hospitals, cultural venues and sports facilities, partially or fully financed from the state budget.
