China’s volume of direct foreign investments grew by 61.9% for 5 months

Almaty. June 16. Silkroadnews – China’s volume of direct foreign investments grew by 61.9% for 5 months, Xinhua news agency reports.

“For the first five months of 2016 the Chinese investors’ direct foreign investments of non-financial sector into 4136 foreign enterprises of 151 states and areas of the world totaled $73.5 billion, which is 61.9% higher compared to the same period of last year,” the statement said.

According to statistics provided by the Ministry of Commerce, in the first five months of this year the Chinese companies signed new contracts for contracting services to be rendered abroad to the amount of $75.5 billion having exceeded last year’s numbers by 11.7%. As of the end of May 2016, the number of Chinese citizens employed in various sectors of the foreign countries made 987 thousand people.
