China sharply criticized US report on affairs of Hong Kong

Beijing. June 1. Silkroadnews - China expressed strong discontent and resolute protest over the US State Department’s report on Hong Kong, Xinhua reports.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chuning said that the principle of “one country, two systems” and “Hong Kong people administering Hong Kong” provides a high degree of autonomy and is conscientiously enforced since Hong Kong returned to its homeland.
“China’s determination to fully implement the principle of ‘one country, two systems’ will not change,” the agency quoted her saying.
“Hong Kong is China’s special administrative region. Hong Kong affairs are China’s internal affairs and no other country should interfere,” Hua said, adding that China is strongly dissatisfied and resolutely opposed to the American report, urging the United States to be cautious on issues related to Hong Kong and stop the wrong practice.
