China temporarily closes border with Kyrgyzstan

Beijing. June 14. Silkroadnews - Checkpoints on the border of Kyrgyzstan with China will be closed from June 15 to June 18, the department of public relations of the State Border Service (SBS) of the Kyrgyz Republic reported, the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) informs.
On the initiative of the Chinese side, due to celebration of Orozo Ait in Kyrgyzstan and Double Fifth festival in the People’s Republic of China, the checkpoints Torugart-road and Irkeshtam-road on the Kyrgyzstan-China section of the state border will be temporarily closed for June 15-18 to be resumed on June 19, the statement said.
