China to boost development of aircraft engines within the 13th Five-Year Plan

Almaty. November 25. Silkroadnews – For 2016-2020 China will boost development of aircraft engines, “Xinhua” agency says.

The priority for the 13th Five-Year Plan will be the development of engines for large passenger aircraft and modern helicopters, as well as gas turbines with high unit capacity, the participants of the sectoral meeting on innovation discussed on Thursday.

“We must create such system of development and manufacturing that would integrate basic research, technical development and one’s own products creation”, Miao Wei, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said having stressed that the engines technologies are one of the most important links within the process of China’s industry transformation and modernization.

Miao Wei also spoke of the support of the open innovation platforms to be created in the Internet on the basis of large-scale industrial enterprises. The minister also gave positive appraisal on cultivation of the “smart” plants, joint production organization in terms of internetization, orders customization and development of new forms of production and business activities in the framework of industry innovation potential raising.
