China to build a railway between Afghanistan and the states of Central Asia

Almaty. May 16. Silkroadnews – China’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Yao Jing said China plans to build a railway between Afghanistan and the states of Central Asia, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports.
The project realization is planned within “One Belt, One Road” strategy framework.
Mehdi Rohani, spokesman of the Ministry of Public Works of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in his turn stated for Afghanistan a participation in this regional project is extremely important and the state’s role in the transit of goods can become quite significant.
The economic experts also suggest that China plans to improve security in Afghanistan and the region as a whole through the trade and economic development.
