China to continue reducing excess capacity

Almaty. May 11. Silkroadnews – China will strengthen efforts to reduce excess production capacity, the statement of the meeting of the State Council of China says.
China reduced steel production capacity in a volume of 31.7 million tonnes, as well as coal production capacity in a volume of 68.97 million tonnes, which meets around 63.4% and 46% of the goals for the year.
Nevertheless, the vigor of progress is weakening following the growth in demand for steel and coal, the difficulties with the former employees’ relocation and debts.
