China to develop and launch five research satellites
Almaty. December 6. Silkroadnews – Within next five years China will develop and launch five scientific research satellites, newspaper “People’s Daily” writes.
“After launch of the Chinese satellite “Wukong” designed to explore dark matter, recoverable experimental satellite SJ-10 and quantum-enabled satellite “Micius”, China plans to develop another five satellites in the coming 5 years”, publication says with reference to the National Space Science Center under the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Wu Ji, head of the National Center, said the work has been started to implement China’s space objectives on the 13th five-year plan. Thus, by 2020 China plans to develop and launch Einstein Probe, advanced space-borne solar observatory (ASO-S), Water Cycle Observation Mission (WCOM), Magnetosphere-Ionosphere-Thermosphere Coupling Exploration (MIT), and Solar Wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer (SMILE).
