China to fight cyberterrorism within the UN, ASEAN and BRICS frameworks

Almaty. March 2. Silkroadnews – The Chinese authorities will fight terrorism on the Internet through the active work coordination with members of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) and ASEAN, as well as in the framework of the UN, TASS writes.

“China boosts measures in the framework of regional cooperation formats. To combat cyberterrorism and cybercrimes we will cooperate with the members of such organizations as the ASEAN, negotiate with the BRICS states”, “White Paper”, published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and speaking on the international cooperation strategy in cyberspace, says.

Beijing plans to strengthen its work coordination with the international community.

“China is committed to ensure the UN Security Council playing an important role in the global partnership to combat cyberterrorism”, the document says.

In the statement by the Foreign Ministry it is explained that the specific areas of work will be the improvement of the international legal framework, creation of mechanisms of interaction between the law enforcement agencies of a number of states to curb a crime network, as well as organization of exchange of effective technologies to combat cyberterrorism.
