China to host the SCO cyberterrorism exercise, the head of the PRC stated

Almaty. June 9. Silkroadnews – China is ready to host the SCO cyberterrorism exercises and suggests holding the organization’s forum for defense and security, Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping said.
“China supports the implementation of the convention on countering extremism, stands for strengthening the capacity of the SCO’s regional antiterrorist structure and supports the fight against illicit drug production and trafficking. We are ready to host the SCO’s cyberterrorism exercises”, Xi Jinping said at the extended session of the SCO Council of Heads of States meeting on Friday.
The head of China also suggested holding a forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on Defense and Security and developing a program of cooperation to combat extremism, terrorism and drug trafficking for the next three years.
To remind, the SCO summit is held at the Palace of Independence, Astana, with participation of the member states heads.
A number of documents are expected to be signed, including the Astana Declaration and the SCO Convention on Countering Extremism.
