China to open previously blocked bank accounts of Iranian citizens

Beijing. January 30. Silkroadnews - China will open previously blocked bank accounts of Iranian citizens, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reported referring to Mehr News Agency.
“China called on Iranians to reopen their accounts blocked previously in this country for a series of issues. Vice Chairman of Iran and China Chamber of Commerce Majid-Reza Hariri revealed the above remark and called on Iranians with their blocked accounts in China to embark on reopening new accounts,” the report said.
At the same time, Majid-Reza Hariri noted, China has taken giant steps to improve banking relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“Iranian Consulate General in Shanghai has officially announced this issue but Chinese recent move indicates that misunderstanding occurred between Iran and China has been removed completely,” the agency quoted him saying.
He also expressed the hope that the friendly relations between Iran and China will be fully restored in the very near future.
“Iran and China Joint Chamber of Commerce has also called on Iranians residing in China to report their banking problems to the Bank of China (BoC) and Iranian Embassy in China directly,” said Majid-Reza Hariri.
